Embodying Solidarity on the Journey to Justice

I am humbled to join share stages and platforms with some amazing activists, thought leaders, Olympians, and politicians (yes, them too) who also pursue Embodied Solidarity rooted in a robust understanding of human dignity.  Here are some recent events that I hope will stir your soul and move you to never make peace with oppression in the places where your heart bleeds for justice!

What's the real story behind the controversy between Professor Larycia Hawkins and Wheaton College? Dr. Hawkins is a Christian who declared she was wearing a hijab for Advent to express her solidarity with Muslims facing Islamophobia. Presented at the First United Methodist Church, Chicago Temple, in partnership with the Chicago Sunday Evening Club and Tim Frakes Productions.
This talk explores the possibilities for multi-faith solidarity in a time where Islamaphobia, xenophobia, and racism is so prevalent. Dr. Hawkins explores the intersection of race/ethnicity, religion, and politics in our society.What does it look like to live out the stated constitutional commitment to justice?
